Map applications, an integral part of our daily lives, continue to evolve with new features. Apple Maps, one of the most popular mapping solutions, has finally launched its web version after a long wait.

Initially introduced in 2012, Apple Maps has been a staple among Apple’s most-used applications. Until now, it was only available as a mobile app.

Features of Apple Maps Web Version

You can access the beta version of Apple Maps’ web platform at beta.maps.apple.com. Currently, the web version is available only in English. It operates on Safari and Chrome for iPad and Mac models, and on Chrome and Edge for Windows.

The web version of Apple Maps offers features similar to its mobile counterpart, including directions for driving or walking and access to place reviews and ratings. The new Guide feature and in-depth information capabilities will make it easier for everyone to use. Additionally, the easy-to-navigate interface enhances user accessibility.

Apple Maps, Future Updates and Competition

Apple has announced that due to compliance issues with the Digital Markets Act (DMA), the new AI features will not be available in European Union (EU) countries this year. However, you can follow these steps to use the iPhone Mirroring feature in EU countries:

Necessary Updates

1. Update your iPhone to iOS 18 beta 2 or later.
2. Update your Mac to macOS 15 Sequoia beta 2 or later.

Editing the Eligibility File

1. Open Finder and navigate to the following path (use Shift + Cmd + G):

  • /private/var/db/os_eligibility/eligibility.plist

Human life is a continuous journey of discovery and development. In this journey, I strive to gain experiences in different fields of art, inspiring both myself and those around me. Recently, shadow art has become my focus, marking just the beginning of this journey.

Shadow art is the art of creating meaningful patterns on a flat surface by obstructing one or more light sources with various objects. This art encompasses the transformation of tangible objects into abstract visual stories through the interplay of light and shadow.

Currently, I am in the process of exploring and practicing this art form, experimenting with waste materials or specially selected objects. Each work can range from a simple stone silhouette to a complex portrait of a famous film character. The most captivating aspect of shadow art is the emergence of infinite possibilities through the simple combination of light and material. Every piece tells a different story to the viewer, offering them a new perspective. My experiments with this art form form the foundation of my journey in self-discovery and innovative thinking, beyond my current artistic expression.

In the future, I plan to delve deeper into my studies of shadow art and further develop myself in this field. I aim to reflect the dance of light and shadow through more complex and impressive works, to share this art form with a broader audience, and to make them a part of this magical world.

Every new work will be a new world to explore and a new source of inspiration for me. Every step I take in my journey of shadow art will expand both my artistic skills and my creative vision.
